Rainsboro Tire, Liquor License Approved by Ohio State Liquor Control Board
September 21st, 2012 The Highland County Board of Commissioners received notice from the State Liquor Control Board, that the liquor board approved the license for Rainsboro Tire.
This past July 18th, Commissioner Horst and myself, voted to request a local hearing from the State Liquor Control Board regarding a new request for license from Rainsboro Tire. The request for license had been denied by the State Liquor Control Board in the past, and there was vocal support and opposition to the license. I believed that it was important to have a hearing, since the license would be establishing a new liquor location, and that there had been community interest from both sides of the issue.
The State liquor Control Board had a Hearing on August 31st, and heard from both sides.
Subsequently, the Board of Liquor Control has approved the Liquor License.
My understanding from the owners of Rainsboro Tire, is that they will be opening a drive through on the site of Rainsboro Tire, and possibly building a new Tire store on the property they currently occupy.
I hope everything turns out well at the new Carry-out, and that the Customers Drink Responsibly.
